Marie Zena
Co-Founder & Fitness, Boxing and Pilates Teacher
Studio Manager for Thrive Gonderange
My philosophy to health and fitness is very simple, down to earth and fun! For the majority of people I believe when it comes to exercise it’s about finding something that they like and that fits into their schedule. This is the key to enjoying the benefits of exercise and we all want to feel the benefits of exercise both physically and mentally without it being boring or stressful.
I am a group functional fitness and boxing teacher with over 18 years experience. I am also a qualified Personal Trainer and also offer Personal Training sessions for individuals and duos.
I love seeing the realisation and appreciation from clients when they start to see and feel all the benefits of exercise. It's not just about changing the shape of your body, it's about how exercise affects how you think, feel and move your body. With Thrive I will be pursuing a Pilates teacher certification too and will start my training soon. If you want help to really get going with your fitness in a relaxed private studio environment, then take the first steps and just try one of our classes. You have nothing to lose! -

Ankita
Pilates & Fitness Teacher
My mantra on living a healthy lifestyle is "Engage in any activity that motivates you to MOVE”.
My instructor journey began in 2015 when I did my first Zumba certification to combine my love for dance and passion for fitness. After that I became a certified Group Exercise Instructor from Aerobics and Fitness Association of America in 2016. My main focus is to incorporate Strength, Conditioning and Stretching as the three most important elements in a class. I am also a licensed Nirvana Fitness Instructor which blends Yoga, Pilates and Breathing to achieve a super-efficient flow of the body & mind.
Conducting classes with hundreds of students over the past 8 years has helped me realize that everyone in a class has different fitness level and it is important that you don’t compare yourself with others. Your competition should always be with “You”. Just work towards getting better.
My other passion is Hiking and during the weekends I love to go on a hike and surround myself with nature. Some of the treks that I have done recently include Everest Base Camp in Nepal, Kashmir Great Lakes and Hampta Pass in the Himalayas.
Let’s work together towards a healthier and stronger tomorrow. See you in the class.

Ané
Pilates Teacher
I’ve always loved sports, running in particular. After an injury I learned that knowing how to connect to your body and correctly use it has multiple benefits that carries over to how you move through life.
I realised I would like to help others to also love pilates and see how the benefits translate to the rest of their lives.
I did my BASI comprehensive course (mat and equipment up to advanced level) in Cape Town in 2019. I’ve also done a workshop in teaching pilates to tri-athletes and will soon start with a pre- and post-natal pilates course.

Ailsa
Pilates & Ballet Barre Teacher
Ailsa’s love for pilates originated from her love for dance. A sport she has been practicing since she was 3 in Luxembourg. Within these dance classes is where Ailsa became familiar with pilates movements as a method of strengthening dancers. Ailsa graduated from the Royal Academy of Dance to begin her career as a dance teacher. While doing so she continued to explore pilates, which lead to her wanting to combine her passion for teaching the physical strengthening of Pilates, with the finesse from dance.

Diana
Reformer Pilates Teacher
I am a newly certified Reformer Pilates instructor (since 2024) with a lifelong passion for movement. My journey into the Pilates world began during my travels through Australia in 2024, where I instantly fell in love with the method’s strength, grace, and precision. That experience inspired me to dive deeper and earn my certification. I bring with me a rich background in physical activity—tennis, dancing, Crossfit, and running have all been key parts of my lifestyle. Since 2019, I’ve embraced ballet, and I’m continually inspired by how Pilates enhances my control, posture, and fluidity in class.I believe movement is a form of self-expression, and Pilates is a beautiful way to connect the body and mind. My classes focus on building strength through mindful movement, and I love encouraging others to find their own rhythm and power on the reformer. Let's enjoy and move together.
